About Coach

My fitness journey started in 2011 when I found a personal trainer who rolled me into a CrossFit class. I was immediately drawn to the amazing community of people who helped encourage me to do hard things, and to know I wasn’t alone while trying. I never knew how much I loved weightlifting until I found CrossFit. For most of my life, I grew up not really believing in myself. Doing complex movements that required excellent coaching helped me realize that I needed to change my mindset more than my body. But I ended up getting benefits in both my mind and body. I did a 13+ mile long Tough Mudder course and the picture of me with the group of gym friends I did it with still hangs on my wall.

Turning Point

When I sought out a personal trainer, it was because I had hit rock bottom. I still had all the baby weight from my emergency C-section I had a couple of years before. I would often eat my emotions because I learned how to suppress my feelings as a child. I would later develop a binge eating habit which kept me in this loop of shame and guilt. I had postpartum depression and suicidal ideation. I had hard things going on in my life and I just didn’t know how to deal with any of it. Working out helped me deal with a lot of the hormone imbalances I was experiencing at the time and all the negative self-talk I would torture myself with. I kept showing up and days turned to weeks, weeks turned into months and months to years. Consistency in showing up for yourself is what makes or breaks someone’s success. But I’m not just talking about the gym, I’m talking about life. Learning how to show up in your own life is what going after your physical health in the gym looks like!

Motivation & Passion

My purpose for coaching is to make someone better than they were before. To bring awareness, compassion, connection, and encouragement when someone is faced with a challenge. Because it’s not what we do, it’s how we do it, that will determine our success!
