CrossFit Level 1 Certification
At 10 months old I was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, I chronic lung condition that made it difficult to breathe as well as caused digestive tract issues. Growing up doctors always encouraged me to stay very active, which is how I discovered my first passion of dancing. Dancing led to cheerleading through high school. When those were off my radar and college was over I then discovered my passion for fitness. Being a Femfit OG member back when Mikilah first opened out of her home gym, she taught me how important it was to be knowledgeable about our bodies as women before, during, and after pregnancy. Now that I am a Mama to my 1-year-old son, I am happy that I now get the chance to help other women understand their own bodies and what they are capable of too!
About 11 years ago I started to realize that the gym, weight lifting, and what I consumed was going to be the most important aspect of achieving a healthy life all around while living with Cystic Fibrosis. The moment I dedicated myself to that lifestyle I began to see changes in my physical health. Not only have I never felt better physically but fitness has been such a game changer for my mental health as well as I was facing any challenges in my life at the time. It helped me stay focused on what truly mattered and what I would need to do in order to overcome any hard situation I was going through!
As a coach here at Femfit, I hope that I am able to motivate and inspire women throughout the different seasons of their life to conquer any difficulties they have in order to achieve their goals.
